Applying for a NAB Rewards Card

How can I get a NAB Rewards credit card?

If you are a personal customer simply fill out the application form online at www.nab.com.au/personal/banking/credit-cards and once approved you’ll receive your NAB Rewards credit card in the mail within 10 working days. Alternatively pop in to one of our branches or call the NAB Loyalty Team on 13 22 65.

For business customers talk to your business banker.

If I change my NAB Rewards Classic Card to NAB Rewards Platinum Card or vice versa, what will happen to my existing NAB Rewards points?

If you are a personal customer and change your card from NAB Rewards Classic Card to NAB Rewards Platinum Card or vice versa, all existing NAB Rewards points will transfer to the new card.

What are the NAB Rewards terms and conditions?

These are the terms and conditions that apply to the NAB Rewards program and how you can earn and redeem points. You can view the current NAB Rewards terms and conditions at rewards.nab.com.au/termsncondition.

Earning NAB Rewards points

How many points do I earn with my NAB Rewards credit card?

The amount of points you earn depends on the type of NAB Rewards credit card you have:

NAB Rewards Classic Card $1 = 0.75 NAB Rewards point
NAB Rewards Platinum Card $1 = 1 NAB Rewards point
NAB Rewards Business Platinum Card $1 = 1 NAB Rewards point

Do all transactions earn points?

Most everyday transactions will earn points. Transactions that don’t earn points include cash advances, bank charges, balance transfers, buying foreign exchange or travellers cheques, ATO payments, transactions where a cardholder uses a card to access linked transaction accounts and transactions for gambling or gaming purposes. How can I maximise the number of NAB Rewards points I can earn?

Use these helpful tips to maximise your NAB Rewards points:

  1. Carry your NAB Rewards credit card at all times to use it for your everyday spends as well as bigger purchases.
  2. Earn points at over 30 million locations worldwide when you use your NAB Rewards credit card where Visa is accepted – almost all everyday transactions will earn you NAB Rewards points (excludes the transactions listed above in “Do all transactions earn points”).
  3. Add an additional cardholder to your account – they’ll get their own card and all of the points earned on the use of that card will be added to your NAB Rewards points balance, helping you get your rewards faster.   4. Make the most of any bonus point offers.
  5. Make sure you sign up on NAB internet banking with a correct email address to receive marketing communications from NAB. That way you’ll hear all about NAB Rewards and be kept up to date with current bonus point offers and special promotions.

Is there a limit/cap to how many NAB Rewards points I can earn?

No, there is no limit to how many NAB Rewards points you can earn. Any bonus points earn limit/cap conditions will be provided at the time of the bonus points promotion.

I seem to be missing points or didn’t receive my bonus points – what should I do?

Call the NAB Loyalty Team on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am – 8pm AEST) and they’ll be able to help you out with your missing points.

Managing my NAB Rewards

Where do I find my NAB Rewards points balance?

You can find your current NAB Rewards balance through internet banking, in your latest NAB Rewards quarterly points summary or by calling the NAB Loyalty Team on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am – 8pm AEST).

Where do I find NAB Rewards in NAB internet banking?

After you login to NAB internet banking, select ‘My cards’ from the menu and select your NAB Rewards Card. Under the ‘NAB Rewards’ section, you will be able to find your points balance and select the ‘Redeem now’ button to redeem your points.

How often is my NAB Rewards points balance updated?

Your NAB Rewards balance will be updated within 3 business days of any eligible transactions processed to your NAB Rewards credit card account. As soon as the points appear in your points balance, you can redeem them.

How do I update my details?

Head into a branch or call the NAB Loyalty Team on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am – 8pm AEST).

Can I receive emails with up-to-date special offers?

Make sure your ‘my details page’ on NAB internet banking settings menu has you set up to receive marketing communications from NAB so you can keep up to date with NAB Rewards current promotions and bonus point offers.

Redeeming NAB Rewards points

How do I redeem my NAB Rewards points?

With over 1,000 rewards to choose from including gift cards, merchandise, flights and more, redeeming points is easy. Simply login to the NAB Rewards Store via NAB internet banking (available 24/7) or call the NAB Loyalty Team on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am – 8pm AEST).

What can I redeem my NAB Rewards points for?

Your NAB Rewards points can be used for a wide variety of items including homewares, merchandise, gift cards, AFL tickets and merchandise, airline frequent flyer points, banking rewards, charity donations, holidays and more. For business customers, you can additionally redeem for business rewards including training courses, office supplies and more. When will my NAB Rewards points expire?

NAB Rewards points expire three years after they were earned. You can see if you have any points expiring in the next few months when you login to your internet banking.

Where can I find information on any current offers or benefits?

Check out rewards.nab.com.au/benefits for any current benefits or special offers available to all NAB Rewards accountholders. Remember not all promotions are open to all NAB Rewards accountholders, so if you receive an email with a special offer the details might not be on this page as it is an offer just for you.

Can I get my reward sent to a different address?

Yes – just change the address in the checkout screen when you select your reward if you want the reward sent to an address which is different to your NAB Rewards address.

I redeemed a reward using my NAB Rewards points, however, I have not received it? What do I do next?

Call the NAB Loyalty Team on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am – 8pm AEST) and they’ll be able to help you track your reward.

What if I don’t have enough points to redeem my reward?

You can use Points Plus Pay where available for the reward. This allows you to pay a portion of the reward by redeeming points and obtain the remainder of the reward by using any form of payment acceptable to the Points Plus Pay provider.
