Applying for a NAB Rewards Card

If you are a personal customer simply fill out the application form available online at www.nab.com.au/personal/banking/credit-cards and once approved you’ll receive your NAB Rewards credit card in the mail within 10 working days. Alternatively pop in to one of our branches or call NAB on 13 22 65.

If you are a business customer you can apply online by filling out the online application form by clicking 'Apply now' at www.nab.com.au/businesscards. Alternatively speak to your business banker or call us on 13 10 12.

If you are a personal customer and change your card from NAB Rewards Classic Card to NAB Rewards Platinum Card or vice versa, all existing NAB Rewards Points will transfer to the new card.

Earning NAB Rewards Points

The amount of points you earn depends on the type of NAB Rewards credit card you have:

NAB Rewards Classic Card

$1 = 0.75 NAB Rewards Points

NAB Rewards Platinum Card

$1 = 1 NAB Rewards Point

NAB Rewards Signature Card

$1 = 1.25 NAB Rewards Points

NAB Rewards Business Platinum Card

$1 = 1 NAB Rewards Point

NAB Rewards Business Signature Card

$1 = 1.25 NAB Rewards Points

Most everyday transactions will earn points. Transactions that don’t earn points include cash advances, bank charges, balance transfers, buying foreign exchange or travellers cheques, ATO payments, transactions where a cardholder uses a card to access linked transaction accounts and transactions for gambling or gaming purposes. Additional cardholders do not earn points in their own right but may accumulate points to your points balance. If you're a NAB Rewards Business customer the points will be credited to the business points balance.

Use these helpful tips to maximise your NAB Rewards Points:

  1. Carry your NAB Rewards credit card at all times to use it for your everyday spends as well as bigger purchases.
  2. Earn points at over 30 million locations worldwide when you use your NAB Rewards credit card where Visa is accepted – almost all everyday transactions will earn you NAB Rewards Points (excludes the transactions listed above in “Do all transactions earn points”).
  3. Add an additional cardholder to your account – they’ll get their own card and all of the points earned on the use of that card will be added to your NAB Rewards Points balance, helping you get your rewards faster.   4. Make the most of any bonus point offers.
  5. Make sure you sign up on NAB internet banking in the settings menu with a correct email address to receive marketing communications from NAB. That way you’ll hear all about NAB Rewards and be kept up to date with current bonus point offers and special promotions.

Earn triple points with Webjet, travelling overseas or on overseas purchases made here in Australia.
Earn double points on major department and hardware stores.

  • Major hardware store purchases (in store and online) at Bunnings, Mitre 10, Home Timber and Hardware, Stratco and Total Tools.
  • Major department store purchases (in store and online) at Myer, David Jones, Kmart, Target and Big W.

No, there is no limit to how many NAB Rewards Points you can earn. Any bonus points earn limit/cap conditions will be provided at the time of the bonus points promotion.

You can check your points balance through internet banking under ‘My cards’ and click on the redeem button to go to the NAB Rewards Store to review your points transaction history.

Alternatively, call NAB on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am ‑ 8pm AEST) and we’ll be able to help you out with your missing points.

Redeeming NAB Rewards Points

Your NAB Rewards Points can be used for a wide variety of items including homewares, merchandise, gift cards, AFL tickets and merchandise, airline frequent flyer points, banking rewards, charity donations, holidays and more. For business customers, you can additionally redeem for business rewards including training courses, office supplies and more. NAB Rewards Points expire three years after they were earned. You can see if you have any points expiring in the next few months when you login to your internet banking.

Check out rewards.nab.com.au/benefits for any current benefits or special offers available to all NAB Rewards accountholders. Remember not all promotions are open to all NAB Rewards accountholders, so if you receive an email with a special offer the details might not be on this page as it is an offer just for you.

Yes – just change the address in the checkout screen when you select your reward if you want the reward sent to an address which is different to your NAB Rewards address.

If you ordered a digital gift card it is retrievable by the link in the order confirmation email sent to you, please allow a minimum of 1 hour before use. Physical rewards, including gift cards, will be received within 10 working days. Call NAB on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am ‑ 8pm AEST) and we’ll be able to help you track your reward.

You can use Points Plus Pay where available for the reward. This allows you to pay a portion of the reward by redeeming points and obtain the remainder of the reward by using any form of payment acceptable to the Points Plus Pay provider.

Managing my NAB Rewards

You can find your current NAB Rewards Points balance in your latest NAB Rewards electronic statement (if email provided) or via the below methods:

Internet Banking

  • Select ‘My Cards’ from the menu;
  • Select your NAB Rewards Credit Card;
  • Select the ‘Redeem Points’ button to be redirected to the NAB Rewards Store where you will be able to find your Points balance in the top right corner.

NAB Connect

  • Select ‘Accounts’ in the top menu area;
  • Select ‘NAB Rewards’ in the menu drop down list;
  • Select the ‘Redeem’ button to be redirected to the NAB Rewards Store where you will be able to find your Points balance in the top right corner.

By calling NAB

  • On 13 22 65 for personal customers or;
  • On 13 10 12 for business customers; weekdays 8am ‑ 8pm AEST/AEDT

After you login to NAB internet banking, select ‘My cards’ from the top menu and select your NAB Rewards Card. Under the ‘NAB Rewards’ section, you will be able to find your points balance and select the ‘Redeem points’ button to redeem your points. Please ensure your internet browser popup blocker has been disabled.

Your NAB Rewards balance will be updated within 10 business days of any eligible transactions processed to your NAB Rewards credit card account. As soon as the points appear in your points balance, you can redeem them.

You can update your details on internet banking using the ‘my details’ page in the settings menu. Alternatively head into a branch or call NAB on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am ‑ 8pm AEST).

 

Make sure your ‘my details’ page on NAB internet banking settings menu has you set up to receive marketing communications from NAB so you can keep up to date with NAB Rewards current promotions and bonus point offers.

Automatic redemption of NAB Rewards Points to flybuys points

If you have an existing flybuys membership you can enrol. Call 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am ‑ 8pm AEST) and make sure you have your flybuys membership number and your NAB Rewards Credit Card Number to hand.

No, the flybuys membership account must be in the same name as your NAB Rewards Credit Card.

 

Yes if you have multiple NAB Rewards Cards, you can. You will need to separately opt in each card that you want your NAB Rewards Points automatically converted to flybuys points and transferred to your flybuys account.

Yes you can. You can opt out through the NAB Rewards Store or by calling us on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am ‑ 8pm AEST). You’re free to opt back in again if you change your mind.

No, you can only convert NAB Rewards Points to flybuys points.

Please allow a minimum of seven days for your automatic points transfer to be set-up. Once established your NAB Rewards Points will be converted and transferred on the second Wednesday of each month and may take up to five business days until they are credited to your flybuys membership account.

 

If you cancel your flybuys membership, your NAB Rewards Points will not be converted to flybuys points and you will need to opt out of the automatic transfer via the NAB Rewards Store, or by calling us on 13 22 65 for personal customers or 13 10 12 for business customers (weekdays 8am ‑ 8pm AEST). If we are unable to transfer your points, we will contact you via email.
